Cook Time : 35–40 minutes
Total Time : 50–55 minutes
Servings : 4–6 servings
Ingredients:
One pound (450 grams) of ground beef
Half a large green cabbage, chopped
One little onion, chopped
Three minced garlic cloves
One cup of tomato sauce
One tablespoon of tomato paste
One teaspoon of paprika
One teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Half a teaspoon of salt
Half a teaspoon of black pepper
One tablespoon of olive oil
One cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
Half a cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
Half a cup of water or beef broth
Garnish with fresh parsley
Instructions:
Prepare the beef:
In a big skillet, heat the olive oil. Cook the ground beef until it turns brown. As it cooks, break it apart.
Include aromatics:
Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Cook until aromatic and mellow, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the cabbage:
Add the chopped cabbage and heat until it begins to soften, about 5 minutes.
Get It Saucy:
Add the beef broth, tomato sauce, tomato paste, paprika, Italian spice, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for five to seven minutes after stirring everything together.
Put together:
Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish that has been oiled.
Add the cheese:
Over the top, liberally sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella.
Bake
The cabbage should be soft and the cheese should be melted, bubbling, and golden around the edges after 20 to 25 minutes of baking at 375°F (190°C).
Serve:
After a few minutes of resting, top with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Expert Advice:
Broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end for an additional golden, crispy cheese coating; keep an eye out to prevent burning.
