5-Ingredient Chicken Casserole

This 5-Ingredient Chicken Casserole is super simple to prepare, cheesy, creamy, and warm. It’s ideal for a quick family dinner or a comfortable weekday meal because it only requires five basic ingredients.

Time for Preparation : Ten minutes

Cooking Time : 25 to 30 minutes

Total Duration : 35–40 minutes

Six servings of ingredients:

Three cups of cooked chicken, either chopped or shredded
Three cups of cooked pasta, such rotini or elbow macaroni
One 10.5-oz can of cream of chicken soup
One cup of sour cream
One and a half cups of cheddar cheese shreds, split

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 375°F, or 190°C. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish lightly.
To make the creamy mixture, put the sour cream and cream of chicken soup in a big bowl and stir until smooth.
Add the pasta and chicken: Mix in the cooked spaghetti and chicken. Stir until the creamy sauce covers everything evenly.
Put some cheese in there: For added cheesiness, stir in ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Transfer to the baking dish: Evenly distribute the ingredients inside the dish.
Add cheese: Evenly distribute the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
Bake: Put in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, gently browned, and hot and bubbling.
Rest and serve: Before serving, give the casserole five minutes to rest.

Advice:

For an even faster dinner, use rotisserie chicken.
To prevent the pasta from getting too soft when baking, cook it just till al dente.
If preferred, add a little garlic powder or black pepper for more flavour.
Finally, broil for 1-2 minutes under close observation for a golden, bubbling topping.
Before serving, make sure the middle of the casserole reaches 165°F (74°C).
